Have you ever been curious about how people generate free electricity for their homes? Have you heard of an overunity generator? Well in just a few paragraphs, I will not only give you an idea of what an overunity generator is but also 4 easy steps to generate free electricity in your home.

An overunity generator is an electrical generator that creates more energy than it consumes. Skeptics argue that this defies the laws of physics. The laws of physics are mostly derived from experimentation. Experimentation with magnets has revealed the ability to generate electricity by rotating magnets and using the forces of attraction and repulsion to create the electrical energy.

This leads to the following steps:

Step 1 Get construction plans. It is very easy to build your own overunity generator. Plans are low cost and easy to follow. They come with a list of items needed to build you generator.

Step 2 Look around your house! You may very well find many of the required items around your home!

Step 3 Your local hardware store will have anything you still need.

Step 4 Your overunity generator can be built in a weekend! So block off some time and get to work!

It’s that simple!

Building an overunity generator is a great project, one that will save you a lot of money by reducing your power bill. Using these four simple steps you can generate free electricity for your home.

Where can you get plans to build this generator? Do you want to see videos and testimonials?

For those who would like to add an extra electrical outlet in their work shop or garage, here is an easy way to do it. Use PVC conduit. Why go through the hassles of ripping the drywall, pulling the insulation off the wall and drilling holes in the studs? When you can fasten some conduit to the wall and fish the wires through the conduit pipe. Just in case you have never performed a job of this kind before Here is an easy way to do it.

1) Decide where you want to put the outlet and install the outlet box on the wall.

NOTE: Make the new conduit run about 6 inches higher then the existing plug-in. You can use elbows to raise the conduit run.

2) Use a miter box and back saw to cut PVC conduit to length and clean the burrs from the ends.

3) Dry fit the lengths and elbows. Make a mark on both the elbow and lengths, if any.

4) Use a terminal adapter to connect the conduit pipe to the electrical box. Fasten the PVC to the wall.

5) To connect to an existing plug-in, turn off the power to the existing plug-in and just drill a hole through the wall finish. Run an elbow from the PVC length through the wall finish.

6). Cut the nails or screws that fasten the outlet to the stud and pull the electrical outlet box out of the wall and disconnect all wires from the existing plug-in to have excess to the wiring.

7) Use a fish tape to pull the three individual wires (hot, neutral and ground) from the elbow running in wall. (Its a good idea to remove any elbows from the strait lengths before you fish the wires through the strait lengths and then through the elbows before you cement the elbow to the PVC lengths.

Connect the existing wires to the new wires with a pig tail and then to the plug-in.

9) Connect the wires to the new out let and fasten the plug-ins to the outlet steel boxes.

10) screw the covers on and turn the circuit on to test the plug-ins.

If you regularly attend tanning salons, buying your own home tanning bed is an excellent way of saving money in the long term. The more modern designs are cheap to run and do not require much maintenance. But the one regular job you will still need to do is maintaining the bulbs.

If you want an even tan you will need to wipe the bulbs with a damp cloth after every tanning session to prevent dust and grease from your lotion from building up. Dirty bulbs can reduce the effectiveness of a tanning bed by up to half. Your tan will also be less even or deep if you do not change the bulbs around every four years. Even if you think the bulbs are ok, the amount of UV they emit will diminish over the years and they should be replaced before they have burned out in order to keep your tanning bed effective. To prevent an uneven tan, replace all the bulbs at the same time.

As you will be changing the bulbs all in one go, the cost of replacement can really add up. The cheapest way of buying the bulbs in bulk is to purchase them on the internet. Some online merchants buy tanning bed replacement parts in bulk directly from the manufacturer at a big discount, then they pass this saving onto the customer. You may also be lucky and find a cheap outlet for the replacement bulbs close to home. Avoid buying direct from the manufacturer, however, as it is almost certainly going to be the most expensive option.

Remember, not all bulbs will be compatible with your model of tanning bed. When you purchase your bed, keep the manual so that you can look up which UV bulbs are suitable for your particular product. If you did not retain the user manual, retailers supplying replacement tanning bed parts should have a list of which bulbs are compatible with different makes and models. They will be happy to help you. They can also advise about the correct way of removing and replacing the bulbs.

Maintaining your tanning bed regularly, although it may seem a little costly, works out economical in the long run because it is the only way to keep your tanning bed in peak working order and suitable for many years of use.

Isn’t it nice to live in a house so peaceful and problem-free? But there is a problem—nothing is perfect. Even the most beautiful and the biggest house in the world experiences problems, too. Worse, these problems may not just be simple house problems; some of these might just cause problems for other people as well. Take electrical problems, for example. Damaged computers, fire, and death might happen only because of a common electrical problem. Fortunately, you can always do something to prevent electrical problems. Knowing what the common electrical problems are and how to solve them can go a long way.

Common Electrical Problem # 1: Surges and Spikes

Surges and spikes are among the common electrical problems. Surges are long bursts caused by additional voltage. Spikes, while they are electrical bursts, are caused by too much voltage. And unlike surges, spikes are a bit shorter. The voltage that causes surges and spikes are usually a result of accidents or storms. These might destroy your appliances either instantly or deliberately over time. TVs, computers, VCRs, stereo systems, electronic video games, microwave ovens, and answering machines are the most susceptible to surges and spikes. You can prevent damage to your electrical appliances from surges and spikes by using a surge protector. There are commercially available plug-in surge and spike protectors that can provide protection for your electronics against spikes, electrical noise, surges, and other outside disturbances.

Common Electrical Problem # 2: Outages, Dips, and Sags

Dips and sags are short periods of low voltage while outages, usually called blackouts, are periods of no electric power. Dips and sags are caused by electrical devices that draw power while these are turned on. Outages, on the other hand, are caused by accident or severe weather causing the power supply directly from the company to be cut off. These electrical problems might affect data loss as well as physical damage to your home computers. Even other devices like memory, VCRs, faxes, answering machines, and microwaves can be affected by dips, sags, and outages.

You may use an Un-interruptable Power Supply (UPS) to protect your equipment against dips, sags, and outages. These are mostly used for computers and similar equipment, but there are now UPS devices specially made for home appliances. What a UPS does is to supply a limited amount of power from its battery when sags, dips, or outages happen. This way, you will have time to safely turn off the devices. Usually, UPS can serve for 15 up to 20 minutes of power for the device. Of course, this will depend upon how much voltage the device is using.

The Need for a Professional Electrician

There are times when preventing electrical problems is not enough. Don’t blame yourself, though. Sometimes, the protective devices that you install for appliances may not protect electrical devices 100%. There are inevitable circumstances that will require electrical repair instead. For those circumstances, only professional electricians can help you. Don’t ever dare repairing any of your electrical devices if you don’t have any knowledge about it. You might not only spend endless hours trying to repair the thing; worse, you might even completely destroy it. Besides, hiring a professional electrician can save you time, stress, and money because he knows what to do about any of the electrical problems you encounter.

Truthfully, in the interest of public order I very rarely sing the body electric, or anything else for that matter — I don’t have the voice for it.

But I do love electricity. Can you imagine what life would be like without it? First of all, I wouldn’t be writing this essay on my computer, and you wouldn’t be reading it on your computer either. In other words, the world of instant communication which we take for granted, and which we are so in love with, could not exist without electricity. Not so long ago people either communicated with one another on the telephone, or wrote letters, books, or articles in newspapers. Without the computers then I would have had to write this essay the old fashioned way, on a manual typewriter, or with a pen and paper. And how would you read it?

Well, you’d probably have to buy a magazine or newspaper in which it was published. But without electricity, publishing itself becomes a tedious endeavor. Of course magazines and newspapers existed before electricity, but they were certainly not so wide spread and accessible like they are today. There is no question that electricity has changed how we communicate in a way that can be described as revolutionary.

What else do I love about electricity? Artificial lighting has freed me to go to sleep and wake up at whatever hour I want to, without worrying about candles, oil lamps and other difficult and inconvenient ways to light up the darkness. When streets and roads are well lit they are safer. This opens the world of evening activities to more people and for longer hours. Which brings me to a mind-boggling subject when it comes to the way electricity has changed our lives, and that is personal entertainment.

The number of ways people entertain themselves has taken a quantum leap because of electricity. Of course there are movies, which are one of the oldest electricity-dependent forms of entertainment, but the recent explosion in the number of stay-at-home forms of entertainment we have now is really amazing. Not everyone agrees, however, that this situation is good. Some people complain that our society has entered a type of cocooning style, where each person or family isolates themselves, like in a cocoon, away from the community which used to go to movies, theater, concerts, and other types of communal forms of entertainment, together.

When people are watching YouTube, or listening to music on their MP3s, or watching a movie on their iPods, they are missing something essential that you receive when people experience cultural events together as part of a greater society. Even if this is true, I would say that for most people in the past, concerts, opera and theater were out of reach anyway, whether because of financial restrictions or distance to the center of the city in order to take part. Today, entertainment is accessible to anyone and everyone. It is cheap and convenient. And there is still the option of going out to a live performance if you want to.

This is just the beginning of what could be an entire book about the ways electricity has changed our lives in what I believe is ultimately a positive way. I love reading books about the days before electricity, like Little House on the Prairie, or Anne of Green Gables, but overall I am glad I live in this era of convenience, health and prosperity, a lot of which is a result of our harnessing of electricity.

There is no room in the average household where it is more important to install an extractor fan than the bathroom. Preventing condensation build up, damp, mould and odour, a simple 4 inch model will help to keep your bathroom beautiful! The choice of bathroom extractor fan has never been greater, including those with timers, those with PIRs, those with humidistats, low voltage fans, low energy fans, slimline fans, and inline fans. This huge choice of extractor fan can be bewildering. The following article is intended as a guide to help the domestic buyer choose the right bathroom fan.

1. Wiring regulations and Bathroom Zones

2. Extractor Type

3. Size

4. Air Extraction Rate

5. Operation

6. Noise

7. Aesthetics

1. Wiring regulations

Since electric and water can make for a fatal combination, strict regulations were introduced dividing the bathroom into 4 zones: 0, 1, 2, 3. Zone 0 is in the bath. Zone 1 extends vertically 2.25m above the bath. Zone 2 extends in all directions for 0.6m from zone1 and zone 3 extends laterally for 2.4m from zone 2.

It is essential that you install the correct fan in the correct zone. Bathroom fans come in two voltages; Mains voltage (240v) and SELV or Safety Extra Low Voltage (12v). Mains voltage bathroom extractor fans may only be used in Zone 3 of the bathroom. In Zones 1 and 2 SELV bathroom fans (12 volt) ONLY must be used, with the transformer being housed in Zone 3. The only exception to this rule is the Airflow QuietAir: A mains voltage bathroom extractor fan that has been specifically designed with an IP45 rating to be used in all 3 zones. Inline fans are another special type of 240v bathroom extractor fan which are housed in the loft space above the bathroom in the middle of two lengths of ducting. Since the motor, impellars and all electrical parts are out of the zonal area, with only the duct and grille in the bathroom ceiling, they too are suitable for use in zone 1 or 2 above the bath or shower.

2. Types of bathroom extractor fan

There are two main types of bathroom extractor fan: Axial and Centrifugal. Axial fans are the ones that you are used to seeing on walls and ceilings and tend to have air extraction rates of between 85m3/hr and 95m3/hr on the 4 inch models. These are suitable for standard installations where the fan is intended to be ducted through the wall. Centrifugal fans tend to be (but not always) inline duct fans. (see previous section). Centrifugal fans are usually much more powerful than axial fans with air extraction rates of bewteen 110m3/hr and 220m3/hr on the 4 inch models. Centrifugal fans are particularly well suited to installations where long duct lengths are required. The Vent Axia Solo Plus, for example, can be used in duct runs up to 50m!

3. Sizes of bathroom fans

Domestic bathroom extractor fans come in two sizes: 4 inch /100mm and 6 inch / 150mm. In almost every case a 4 inch bathroom extractor fan will suffice. Six inch fans need only be considered in bathrooms greater than three metres squared, or where special circumstances require a more powerful fan,…such as bathrooms with no natural ventilation or particularly cold, north facing bathrooms.

4. Air Extraction Rate

Measured in ‘Litres per Second’ (L/s) or ‘Metres Cubed per Hour’ (m3/hr), the air extraction rate of a bathroom extractor fan is one of the most important considerations. The Building Regulations stipulate that a bathroom extractor fan must extract at least 15L/s in a standard domestic bathroom. Most 4 inch bathroom extractor fans far exceed this minimum requirement, and nowadays the standard is 85m3/hr. Any bathroom extractor fan with an extraction rate of 90m3/hr or above may be considered powerful.

5. Operation

Bathroom extractor fans have a range of operational features to suit different applications. The most simple is on/off via the bathroom light switch or integral pullcord. Bathroom fans with integral timers are great in bathrooms where large build ups of steam cause condensation problems, as the over run timer will keep the fan running for a desired period after it has been turned off….particularly useful if the fan is wired into the lighting circuit. Parents may prefer a bathroom fan with a PIR sensor which will operate the fan automatically when anybody enters the bathroom, whilst Landlords like those with humidity sensors, which switch on automatically when the relative humidity reaches a set level. This means that tenants are not relied upon to manually operate the bathroom fan.

6. Noise

Typical dB measurements for axial bathroom fans range between 35dB(A) and 45dB(A) with the more powerful centrifugal bathroom fans between 40dB(A) and 55dB(A). Whilst centrifugal fans are louder, it should be remembered that they are housed in the loft space and so are insulated and further away, lessesning the volume somewhat.

7. Aesthetics

Remember: you are likely to see this fan everytime you use the bathroom. The money you saved on it when purchasing will soon be forgotten, so don’t install an ugly fan just because it’s cheap. Homeowners are spending more in making their bathrooms beautiful with cool lighting and funky fixtures and fan designs have improved immensely. The old ‘box with grilles’ is slowly being replaced with unobtrusive and subtle ’tile’ type designs which sit comfortably with any bathroom aesthetic.
